Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in Ridgefield?
I grew up in Waterford, a little town on the Connecticut shoreline. Then, I went to university in North Carolina, medical school and residency in New York and then fellowship in Washington, DC. We moved to Ridgefield from DC 6 years ago!
How many children do you have? What are their names and ages?
I have three kiddos. Xavier is 10. Oliver is 8 and Ella is 3!
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I can’t wink! It’s the strangest thing, but I’ve never been able to. It’s so bad that it almost seems like magic when I see someone else do it. So, I’ve come up with a fake wink where I’m actually activating my cheek muscle so that it looks like I’m winking. But I can only do that on the left!
Tell us about your work?
I’m a board-certified vascular surgeon, but right now, my favorite work in the world is through my online businesses. I get to help women (and their families) improve their health from the outside in with beautiful, effective, clean personal products. I also provide one-on-one nutrition and lifestyle medicine coaching services. Lastly, I’m an online business coach for women who want to create the lives they actually want.
Who can benefit from the work you do and/or what do you hope your clients gain from their time with you?
Right now, my clean beauty and health coaching clients most want to improve their health in really tangible and accessible ways. When moms, especially those with small children, work with me, they get to understand that self-care is healthcare. More than that, they learn how to achieve and sustain deep, inner health while actually enjoying life everyday.
What’s been the best piece of advice you’ve received from another mother?
My mom always gives the best advice. When life takes its twists and turns, as it inevitably does, she always reminds me to trust in God. And she’s always right.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
The Ridgefield Moms community has been open and supportive from the moment my family first moved to town from DC. I am encouraged, educated and entertained by at least one Ridgefield mom every day, and, more importantly, so are my children.
