I’ll be honest. I was holding out trying @plankridgefield new reformer studio and classes. A class rat with the best of them, I feel confident in the drill - grippy socks, sign ups, what the heck I will be doing for 50 minutes - so I was a little anxious about trying something new. We have all heard of the incredible benefits of pilates reformers but maybe you too are on the sidelines nervous to take your first class. I went last week and fell in 💕 - it’s hard but not awful hard and I didn’t expect how peaceful it was. You’re sort of in your own body the whole time. Anyway, here are a few things I learned that might encourage you to take the reformer plunge.

Ready to lead a pilates reformer class to build co

Ready to lead a pilates reformer class to build confidence, deepen your practice, and learn to teach? There are just two spots remaining in June’s Pilates Reformer Instructor Training Weekends in June from @plankridgefield. Email Kate at Kate@plankridgefield.com for details and to register. Please note that attendance on both days, both weekends is required!

Movement Principles. June 6th-7th. 10am-6pm.
The foundation of our education program and pre-requisite for all other courses, Movement Principles shows how to recognize, improve and teach fundamental movement. This course is designed for both new and experienced instructors to refine their understanding of the body in motion. It provides the foundational knowledge necessary for you to understand fundamental movement and become a truly transformative instructor. Movement Principles is a program requirement for our Pilates Instructor Training and Integrated Movement Specialist certificate.

Reformer Level 1. June 27-28th. 10am-6pm
Learn how to bring the iconic Pilates apparatus to life, powering your practice and programming.This course introduces you to what Joseph Pilates called the ‘Universal’ Reformer, which is the centerpiece of the Pilates equipment studio and an invaluable training tool. Reformer 1 teaches you how to safely utilize the Reformer and many of the beginning and intermediate Pilates Reformer exercises. Reformer 1 also reviews common modifications and variations necessary for teaching the client in front of you and gives you the ‘why’ behind the ‘what’, empowering critical reasoning skills from the very start of your training.
