Meet – A – Entrepreneur
We had the pleasure of interviewing this uber talented photographer, Kendra Conroy who has the most magnificent eye & ability to catch the true spirit of her clients!
Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I was born and raised in a small town in Upstate, NY. I moved to Connecticut two years ago this month.
Child(ren) and Age(s)?
I don’t have any children yet, but I have two nieces that mean the world to me. My nieces are five years old and are twins. I moved to Connecticut to live closer to them and to be apart of their lives.They inspire me to be a better person, to not let the silly things get to me and to just be silly with them. I love their personalities they are developing and I am so happy that I get to play a role in their life.
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
I used to be extremely shy. I have found becoming a business owner it has forced me get out of my shell and become more of an outgoing person. Throughout the year and a half I have been a business owner I have found that I have grown to be more of a confident and positive person. I never thought becoming a business owner would have broken out of my shy shell. Each email, client call or session I do makes me more confident and I am so happy to have found something that I love doing that has also made me a stronger person.
Favorite things to do with your nieces?
I love taking my nieces on adventures and just exploring local parks just the 3 of us. I think our adventures are a great bonding experience with my nieces and its a good way to get outside away from technology for a while.

I own my own photography business and I have been in business for almost two years. I specialize in photographing Lifestyle Newborn and Families, and I love every second of it. Shooting this Thanksgiving tables cape was so different for me & I loved watching all the creative elements that made it come to life.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
The community has been amazing! When I first moved to Connecticut two years ago I only knew my family and didn’t know anything about the surrounding towns. The community helped me with finding my favorite locations, building my portfolio and giving guidance on how to grow my business. I have been so fortunate to have met so many amazing people that have turned into clients from town and I am excited to meet more in the future.
They have also been so amazing welcoming my nieces into the community, I think it is such a family friendly town and I have found that there is almost always something for them to do around town.
