Ready to lead a pilates reformer class to build confidence, deepen your practice, and learn to teach? There are just two spots remaining in June’s Pilates Reformer Instructor Training Weekends in June from @plankridgefield. Email Kate at Kate@plankridgefield.com for details and to register. Please note that attendance on both days, both weekends is required!

Movement Principles. June 6th-7th. 10am-6pm.
The foundation of our education program and pre-requisite for all other courses, Movement Principles shows how to recognize, improve and teach fundamental movement. This course is designed for both new and experienced instructors to refine their understanding of the body in motion. It provides the foundational knowledge necessary for you to understand fundamental movement and become a truly transformative instructor. Movement Principles is a program requirement for our Pilates Instructor Training and Integrated Movement Specialist certificate.

Reformer Level 1. June 27-28th. 10am-6pm
Learn how to bring the iconic Pilates apparatus to life, powering your practice and programming.This course introduces you to what Joseph Pilates called the ‘Universal’ Reformer, which is the centerpiece of the Pilates equipment studio and an invaluable training tool. Reformer 1 teaches you how to safely utilize the Reformer and many of the beginning and intermediate Pilates Reformer exercises. Reformer 1 also reviews common modifications and variations necessary for teaching the client in front of you and gives you the ‘why’ behind the ‘what’, empowering critical reasoning skills from the very start of your training.

Memorial Day Weekend is an essential national moment to honor the women and men who gave us all they had to be free. That should always be enough. Yet it is also the gift of time off work for so many of us to enjoy the families we’ve grown and the ones we came from, the unofficial mark of summer in our part of the world, and an excuse to change your outfit several times to sport every striped item in your closet. It also kind of rules in New England. So, this rain is a big bummer. Here are a few words of smart people with a better perspective and a nod to embrace the forecast this weekend. Also, the parade is delayed in Ridgefield - so, hope!
