How old are your kids and how long have you lived in Ridgefield?

MM: Carson, 12 and Sloane, 8 (both play hockey in Ridgefield) We moved from NYC in 2021.

AT: We have lived in town since 2016.  Our kids are 9 and 7.

Why Ridgefield?

MM: We love the New England vibe-we wanted a place that was good for families, still close to NYC with a community feel.

AT: We liked the small town feel, the community vibe, good schools and of course because the town has a rink.

What do you love most about coaching girls hockey?

MM: SO MANY THINGS-creating opportunities for young girls, watching them develop skills, fostering friendships and community. It’s the moments when a player who makes a fearless defensive play or scores a goal, and looks back at the bench with that “I did it” smile. It is such a rewarding experience!

AT: Watching them get better each time they step on the ice and seeing their friendships.

What do you do when you are not coaching the lady Lions?

MM: I have been teaching for 20 years. I am currently a teacher at Barlow Mountain Elementary.

AT: Accountant and college hockey coach
