Welcome to our 2025 Private School Guide. 

Choosing the right school for our children is a big decision. As you consider the learning environment, teaching style and school philosophies that best suit your child and your family, we have put together the 2025 Private School Guide.

The Southport School

For over 40 years, The Southport School has supported students in grades 2–8 with language-based learning differences and ADHD. Its approach is grounded in neuroscience and focuses on helping every child reach their potential.

A 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio ensures individualized attention in small classes alongside peers with similar learning pathways. Additionally, there are no pullouts or PPTs; literacy and learning strategies are embedded into every class, from math and science to art and social studies.

King School

King School is a Pre-K through Grade 12 college preparatory school in Stamford, CT, serving students from Fairfield and Westchester Counties.

Preschool Guide Description:

King School unlocks the power of wonder, and students PreK-12 become agents in their own learning.

Starting at age 3, students in our early childhood program explore the world around them through an approach to teaching and learning known as the Reggio Emilia-inspired methodology. This child-centered and self-guided method allows students to explore, make connections, and learn from their environment. Hopkins School

Ridgefield Academy

Ridgefield Academy/Landmark Preschool is a preschool – Grade 8 program by design. The intellectually inspiring curriculum fosters joyful learning and uplifts each student to rise to their authentic self.
