Hands On Science at Easton Country Day School | Ridgefield Moms

Easton Country Day is a small, independent, coeducational school for students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12.  Easton Country Day School was founded by educators who wanted the best possible academic and social foundation for their own children, in a learning environment where the values taught at home were echoed and strengthened.  Teachers and staff seek to enable students to develop their full potential; academically, morally, creatively and physically, in an environment that fosters respect and loving kindness. Recently, we were able to catch up with the school and learn about their commitment to hands on science. Below, Easton Country Day School shares a few of their recent Physics experiments!

Easton Country Day School believes in a lot of hands-on science.  We created carbon dioxide in chemistry, and explored exothermic and endothermic reactions.  We made models of organic molecules with gumdrops and toothpicks. Our physics class experienced acceleration with (sitting) skate board races in the hall.  We experimented with Newton ’s Second law by dropping different masses on eggs. We demonstrated Bernoulli’s Principle with leaf blowers and toilet paper. Everyone loves science here at Easton Country Day School!

Easton Country Day School is now accepting applicants for the 2022/2023 school year. For more information, call (203) 268-5530 for K-12th and  (203) 268-5073 for Preschool or go online to EastonCountryDay.org
