Ridgefield Kempo is passionate about their philosophy. They invest in each student wholeheartedly which leads them to success with a healthier, happier and more confident life. According to owner, Sensei George Wolff, he believes that students understand what is being taught only if we teach the way they understand. Simplified, direct instruction is tailored to each child’s needs.
A Martial Artist should possess positive self-development, compassion, loyalty, a humble spirit, self control and discipline. These traits are taught directly by each Sensei and led by example, as a powerful testament to each young student. This is achieved by several means, including a proper greeting while entering the dojo, eye contact, respectful interactions, clear communication & above all, a feeling of acceptance regardless of your skill level. Here at Ridgefield Kempo it is evident that each young student feels welcome and a part of something bigger.
Ridgefield Kempo has recently undergone a large renovation which now more than doubles the studio size with two open dojo’s, the addition of more classes including Kempo Kickboxing which will have childcare on select days, Sparring, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and belt ranked classes. Each dojo will now have expansive seating and glass privacy barriers to ensure that the students and instructors have fewer distractions. Stop in to check out the transformation!
