Please share the backstory and vision of your business, Ridgefield Kempo
My name is George Wolff, Owner and Chief Instructor of Ridgefield Kempo. I began training in martial arts when I was 8 and have continued since then. Spending 10 years as a student, I have taken the time to learn all I could about the history, philosophy, and physical application of different martial arts styles. My first 10 years of martial arts were spent studying Tae Kwon Do and for the last 10 years I have been studying Kempo Karate. During this period I decided to open Ridgefield Kempo to share my passion for teaching others how to feel more confident with themselves physically, mentally and spiritually, teaching others how to have a voice, how to have personal integrity and most important how to find themselves through modernized martial arts training. My vision for Ridgefield Kempo is to share this experience with everyone.
Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I am originally from Westchester County NY. I have lived here in Ridgefield for the last 2 Years.
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
Most people would be surprised to know that I never intended my career to be a professional martial artist. I dabbled with several different career choices, but the universe had other plans for me and here I am gratefully at Ridgefield Kempo.
Favorite things to do in your free time?
During my free time I like to be physically active, whether it be martial arts, outdoor activities, playing guitar and take on new projects & builds.
