Meet Nicole | Ridgefield Moms

We are so excited to launch with our first Meet-A-Mom, Nicole Kronenberg!

Where are you from originally and when did you move into town?

I’m originally from Pound Ridge, NY. I just moved to Ridgefield this past April.
Children and Ages?
I have twin 3 1/2 year old boys, Dylan and Tyler.
One thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I’m pretty handy! Give me a tool kit and I’m on the way to my next assembly project.
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you though parenthood?
Where do I begin? I’m so grateful to have such a loving and giving mother and mother-in-law that have both supported my parenting decisions, but have also given me much needed guidance throughout this journey of motherhood.
My girlfriends are also my constant support system. I’m so lucky that my childhood friends and I all have been going through motherhood together. I couldn’t imagine getting though tantrums and messy toddler situations without venting and laughing through them with my closest friends. It’s comforting to lean on people who have been there and who understand.
I also can’t forget my husband, he’s been the  absolute best partner throughout this wild ride. He even taught me how to change my first diaper! I’m so grateful to have such a loving teammate.
Favorite things to do with your kids?
No matter what season we are in, my favorite thing to do is to be in nature with my kids.  There’s nothing like fresh air and watching their tiny imaginations run wild “in the wild”. Mother Nature never disappoints. We’ve been exploring so many beautiful local spots, one of our favorite places to explore is Garden of Ideas.
I also personally love painting, so it’s always so much fun doing arts and crafts with my boys. Things always get really messy, but what’s a good art project without some paint splatter on a white rug?

Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!

I’m looking forward to exploring local volunteer organizations. I’ve always had a passion for volunteer work, so that is something I look forward to getting involved in.

At the moment I’ve taken a break from my career in the fashion industry to raise my children. I was a fashion editor for 7 years, and was the director of a trend forecasting agency. I later branched off as a creative consultant to multiple fashion companies.

My passion has always been photography, and I hope to start a lifestyle and children’s photography business in the future.

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?

My husband and I chose Ridgefield because of the strong sense of community connection we felt. I’ve only lived in town for three months but really feel welcome here. Everyone I meet has been so helpful and supportive with connecting me to local sources.
